#350323 CF2012 Official Feedback Thread

Posted by aoihakurei on 24 December 2012 - 02:52 PM

Disclaimer : I am in no way affiliated with CF(maybe once I get older), just a fellow event goer, discussing in this thread.

And, one more thing, why are there nude or inappropriate stuff selling there. I mean for adults might be fine but what about the young ones. And is it even allowed?

From what I know, they are generally allowed, and is sold at their own discretion. Which is why those under 13 must be accompanied by adults. I think teenagers already know about those stuffs already anyway, and it's at the responsibility of themselves and their parents.

Bigger hall maybe?so that everyone can move around comfortably. :-/

I don't think the hall can get any bigger LOL

Cons
- i hate the layout of KLCC, one entry and one exit only, difficult to enter and get out, once moved to the end, difficult to move to the front again
(suggestion: don't put everything in a same hall, i mean u can have the stage in one hall/room, doujin booth in one hall/room, gaming area in another room, and so on...ppl can enter and leave the designated hall easily, and pls pls pls make more entry and exit)

- how come all the booths are selling bootleg products??
this is my first time attend and i expect there will be some famous brand's product like bandai, hasegawa, cospa, kotobukiya, original DVD from japan..... but i only saw those bootleg product here, even the GSC is only selling old product (are they here to clearing stocks?

- too less guest lol, invite more pls, especially those seiyuu and artist

wow my comment is long :P

They are all actually in separate halls. Only thing is that the halls are merged, instead of separate. I assume your main point was more entrances and exits, which I completely agree on.

Bootleg products, can't actually say much on that stuff. If you're careless enough to actually buy bootleg products and find problems/defects in them, it's your own fault.

As for guests, Comic Fiesta, unlike AFA is a completely volunteer-run event, so you can't really ask for too many guests, lest you want the ticket price to increase.(people complained a lot on just a RM5 increase in tickets from last year, which is completely unreasonable)

#345841 Comic Fiesta 2012 Ticketing Information

Posted by Mika-chan on 20 September 2012 - 12:26 AM

Hi everyone. Please give us 7 working days from the time that you submit your form. Please understand that we are not in front of our PCs 24/7 and we're not able to answer your e-mails 5 seconds after its in our inbox. Please, be reasonable.

Most of the info that you're asking is already in the first 3 posts so read through that before asking questions. 1 minute spent answering your questions = 1 min that we can't read and reply your e-mail. So please understand that. I understand that a lot of you are worried that your payment did not go through. As long as you have put in the correct bank account number and account holder name, there should be no problems.

Again, please give us time to get back to you. Thank you.

Introduction
It's about time that we give Coffy, our main mascot, a new look! Comic Fiesta, with the support from Saito College, are proud to hold a character design competition for our mascots (well, mascot that is) for the first time ever!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to redesign Coffy, with a theme based on a specific type of coffee (Coffy)! e.g. Latte, Macchiato, Espresso, Double Espresso, etc. (For your inspiration, here's Wiki's full list of Coffee Beverages ;D) Interpret your chosen beverage and reflect its uniqueness in your design in the form of BOTH her costume and personality~! (e.g iced coffee may be Coffy in winter costume!)

The winning design will be the official costume for Coffy this year and if your design is the one selected you stand to win RM1000 in prizes! Not only that, four other winning designs will be selected and each stand to win RM500 worth of consolation prizes! XD

Here are the Guidelines to follow:

#370483 Comic Fiesta 2014 Official Feedback Thread

Posted by Freelancer937 on 31 December 2014 - 04:47 PM

Things that i like bout CF2014

- doujin booths well positioned and lined. I can browse with ease

- ticketing had improved but mistakes bound to happen as the crowd grows like wild daisies

- believe it or not. Crowd control had improved compared to previous years

- positioning of most booths and commercial booths

- ballroom for stage events. Neat!

- elevators and escalators limited which means less unwanted trespassers.

- stage is well equipped with advanced lost technology of the future. A great improvement compared to previous years.

Things that i don't like about CF2014

- Ballroom too small imho.

- LOL can gtfo to a further place where it is not your main entrance. Traffic went stuck.

- this major big anime merchandise booth annoys me as their layout take up space and sells bootleg. Though CF can't control what they sell but its annoying imho that it takes way too much space. Then again they are rich so they can take up the space. ngeh, i still dont like you lulz

- I AM LOST. Like serious. Though i have a tag but im still lost lol. need tad more signage to guide people like me.

suggestions

- provide more signage.

- try to hire more volunteers. Though this is hard but you guys really need it.

- provide big big signage for cosplayers to remind them of their etiquette. ie STOP LITTERING. PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES or YOUR BELONGINGS ARE AT YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY etc etc because seems that cosplayers these days are getting very spoiled and self entitled.

- provide big big signage for PHOTOGRAPHERS/CON GOERS to DO NOT take pictures of cosplayers without their permission or when they are not read. etc etc and no upskirts you friggin perverts. I've seen a number of con goers doing that.

- maybe get some security help like balai bergerak or something that may help.

PERSONAL OPINIONS.

- i have many things that i want to say that would directly or indirectly spark arguments. Espeically cosplayers today that are either being rude, self entitled and spoiled to the max.

- cosplayers you DO NOT cut and style your wig at the event hall or toilets and not pick up after yourselves. be a responsible adult or child or teenager whatever you are. You parents did not raise you to be pigs.

- many of you are complaining nobody to check on your own belongings. You are the owner of your stuff you should be responsible with your stuff. You have no one else to blame if it goes missing if you leave it at one corner unattended and go shoot etc etc.

- CF is making money. Maybe. I don't know but that doesn't mean that they are earning themselves. Without the money you don't get your special guests or the event hall booked even. The event hall is NOT CHEAP. Especially with lightings, man power, systems etc etc. So stop thinking that CF officials are kaya raya ok. I'm not in the comm but organizing an event THAT size isn't easy.

end of rant and post event feedback.

maybe/

may add more when things come to mind

Posted by memeranglaut on 25 December 2012 - 12:34 PM

Hi guys.

#1 CF lurker here.

I have a couple of pretty pictures that i want to share with you guys, especially the ones who complained about the lines:

Exhibit #1, Comic Fiesta, circa 2012
Posted Image

See that line? that white line? It represents a double-file that CF used in their system outside of the hall.

Now keep that in mind, and let me break your mind, and your computer screen:

Exhibit #2, Comiket, Circa 1998-2012
Posted Image

This is comiket circa 1998-2012.

An event that inspired Comic Fiesta.

See those white boxes? Remember when i said a single LINE is a double-file line?

...
...
...

There you go.

Oh, some pretty pictures to accompany the white lines as well.

So to whomever complained about the lines in ComicFiesta, you never have been to Comiket before.

Also, lining up is civilised.

The japanese can do it, so can we.

Also guys - see those yellow boxes? that is the size of hall 4 and 5 combined, and quadrupled.

And that is the venue for Comiket's doujin booths.

So artists - congrats and you know you are on the right track.

May Comic Fiesta be as big as Comiket one day!

p.s. Just so you know, there is a scale on the bottom corner of the pictures.

Yes, its THAT big.

I know, because those photos, i took it when i was there last year.

Toodles.

p.s.s Edited for proper line length

Perhaps. CF are unaware of who is in charge and where the stock comes from--all we know is it is indeed the real GSC.

It would take real big balls to make an entire fake GSC booth when you're 10 feet away from Danny Choo most of the event.
