I could've sensed this coming. Wonder how those who believed this event would take it.

Hi,

With regards to this topic, KLCC confirmed the hall reservation's cancellation.
But that does not mean that AFKL is cancelled.
It just means that the hall reservation is cancelled.

I have contacted Mr. Yap who is the person-in-charge for AFKL.
He replied that this event is not cancelled, but changed venue due to several matters pertaining to this issue.
The venue has been changed to Berjaya Times Square.

I am just stating, relating and sharing the information provided by Mr. Yap to everyone.
I have no other specific motives.
Regarding other details such as the effect on the tickets, events, and etc. , I am not able to provide those information.
It's best to contact Mr. Yap at 019-6173169.

Thank you very much for your time reading my reply.

They are intending to do it on the 14th floor ballroom of BTS Hotel.
Something like Comic Fiesta 2 years ago's venue.
Was trying to contact BTS's event management department but their line is still busy.
And again, I'm just sharing the information that I have received from the person-in-charge.
Nothing more and nothing less.
Feel free to contact him by yourself and by your own discretion.

Do you know how hard it is to book a spot in BTS for an event, with 3-4 months ahead of schedule at the very least? You can change venues on a whim? What about the logistics of all the participating booth owners? Discuss.

Or not. :P

AFKL is gonna be a farce at any rate, and with this happening its just gonna go even more downhill from here.
Lets hope this event does go on, with either the current date or posponed to a better time and venue. I feel sorry for all those people who bought the tickets early on, all of them must feel cheated by this. :(
a.k.a. DJ Muzaffar and also the owner of F.T.M (which is my netlabel btw)
Mainly do mixes of anime music as well as many other kinds of music, and performing at as many ACG events with my friend.
Hope to get more people to like J-Core, as well as support the dojin music community here. =)

Although they've changed the venue, they're still in deep sh*t.

There are still people unaware of the Miku issue...
I might have missed it but I have not seen them announcing about Miku concert except here. Why don't they bother announcing it themselves?
Other than planning to sue people, they have a habit of blaming 'hater's for chasing away sponsors, Japanese celebrities and all. I'm not gonna tell everything I know (yet) - I'm already accused to be the one who spread the 'bad rumour'. Apparently the supporters also inherited the unintelligent blaming habit. Thus I won't be surprised if they accuse haters for cancelling the event. I won't be surprise if the blame haters for making the event not as big as they claim to be.

and not to forget, most likely there are people unaware of the venue change since it is so last minute. Imagine if they come to KLCC and found out that the event isn't there!!

Hi, it's me again.

I've contacted Berjaya Times Square Hotel who is in charge of the ballroom booking.
They have confirmed with me several times regarding the ballroom booking for Anime Fiesta Kuala Lumpur.
They also admitted that the booking was done yesterday and is definitely confirmed
You guys can try to call Times Square for more information.
The officer at BTS also said that many ppl called them due to this matter and gave the same answer as they did to me.
When I asked for an official announcement by BTS either in email or etc., they said that they are not able to do so because they do not want to interfere in any way.
It is as announced by Anime Fiesta Kuala Lumpur on their website: kualalumpur.is-into-anime.com
For more enquiries, please call Mr. Yap or Berjaya Times Square Hotel hotline.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

until they get a new band in, that is. Miku's current band, the 39's have already disbanded early this month and won't be performing any future concerts.
