Character Creation

0. Decide Your Character Type

There are 3 types of characters in the world of Pastel: Exalted Character, Player Character and Non-Player Character. You can choose to be one of the first two, and the third is semi-controlled by the Game Master (GM).

Exalted Characters are players with special abilities beyond human's normal capabilities. Depending on their stats, they can jump very high, sprint at blazing speed or extremely charming in negotiations.

Player Characters are normal ordinary players that leads an ordinary life. Any players can be exalted by special NPCs in the game if... they got bored of leading a normal life.

1. The Basic Stats

Only applies to Exalted Characters, Player Characters may skip to Step 2.

These are the basic statistics (STATS) of your special characters. First let's go through the stats. This is going to be a bit lengthy, but it's extremely important for you when creating a character. So, try not to skip this.

Statistic Types

Like many games, these stats determines your successes when performing an action. The higher your stats are the higher your chances of success. Based on Dungeon&Dragon's 3.5e Ability Scores, these are the types:

STRENGTH (STR): Strength is a measure of muscle, endurance and stamina combined. Strength affects the ability of characters to lift and carry weights, melee attack, damage, several combat actions, and general checks involving moving or breaking stubborn objects..

DEXTERITY (DEX): Dexterity encompasses a number of physical attributes including hand-eye coordination, agility, reflexes, fine motor skills, balance and speed of movement; a high dexterity score indicates superiority in all these attributes. Dexterity affects characters with regard to initiative in combat, ranged attack, skills such as Balance, Escape Artist, Hide, Move Silently, Open Lock, Ride, Sleight of Hand, Tumble etc.

CONSTITUTION (CON): Constitution is a term which encompasses the character's physique, toughness, health and resistance to disease and poison. The higher a character's Constitution, the more hit points that character will have.

INTELLIGENCE (INT): Intelligence is similar to IQ, but also includes mnemonic ability, reasoning and learning ability outside those measured by the written word.

SPIRIT (SPI): Spirit is a composite term for the character's enlightenment, judgment, wile, willpower and intuitiveness. Also is the measure of the character's combined physical attractiveness, persuasiveness, and personal magnetism. It also ties to Bluff, Diplomacy, Disguise, Gather Information, Intimidate, Perform skills etc

Distribute the points

Once you understand the types, you will now allocate the points into each type. For starters you have 10 points, and you have distribute it however you want. 0 STATs is not allowed.

2. Student Type

1) Loli/Shota – INT +1, STR -1
2) Sexy/Handsome – SPI +1, DEX -1
3) Pure – No bonus
4) Cool – SPI +1, CON -1
5) Boyish/Manly – STR +1, SPI -1
6) Heroine/Heroic – DEX +1, INT -1

2. Character Basic Information

Once you've determined your character stats, it's time to shape up your character. You need to make a new Character Sheet. If you're importing your Season 1 character, you need to redo this. For normal Player Characters, please ignore the STATS.

Create a new thread inside Player Registration Forum and here are your character information that you need to fill up.

3. GM Approvals

All characters, especially the exalted will be examined by the GM, just to ensure that your character is not overpowered, or break the laws of Pastel's physic. Do not worry, all characters will be approved.

4. Set Your Signature

Once your character is approved. You need to set your signature to these, according to your character sheet.

Edo fe Errol

It's an uberly simplified version of your character sheet. This allows the Conductors to quickly check your STATS. Ensure that your character name in the signature is a clickable link to your actual character sheet so that everyone can access it easily. Whenever there's updates to your character sheet, you must update your signature accordingly.

5. Play Your Character

At all times, you MUST BE IN CHARACTER as close as described in your character sheet whenever you're within Pastel Forums, or you will be penalized.

6. Character Journal

Once your character is approved, your Character Sheet's thread will become your journal.
